ShraddhaGouri is a 10th grader at Heritage High School in Brentwood and a CCYJ reporter. Asked about the calculator in her portrait photo, she said, “It represents my passion for problem solving and learning. Math challenges me to think everyday to think critically and find solutions, which is something I value not just in school, but in everyday life.” Asked about a quote that inspires her, she said she likes this paraphrase of Samuel Johnson’s thoughts on curiosity: “Curiosity is the thirst of the soul.”
